Project and Programme Managers - all levels

Acando is seeking Project and Programme Managers with 10+ years experience of leading and delivering enterprise software enabled projects to international corporate clients.

Your experience will include ERP, CRM, MI/BI, BPM, ECM, middleware or other enterprise software enabled delivery or transformation projects. These may have been technology led transformation projects, or technical projects resulting from change elsewhere in the organisation. Your projects will not have been straight forward and will have challenged your inventiveness, leadership and determination.

You'll also bring consultancy skills which you may have gained at a consultancy or vendor's professional services group or through working closely with these groups during your career.

We engage with well recognised private sector businesses to lead and manage IT related projects and programmes of every type, ranging from the realisation of regulatory compliance (e.g. Solvency II) in an organisations systems, to the transformation of major business functions using a new software platform and guiding the client throough the change challenge surrounding their initiatives. Most importantly, we make clients' projects, programmes and initiatives successful.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 10+ years full life cycle projeect management experience of enterprise software enabled projects
  • Project management qualification (PRINCE2, MSP, PMI, APM etc.)
  • Full lifecycle management of projects with a value of £1m+, for senior roles projects or programmes with a combined value of £10m+
  • Full lifecycle management of projects longer than 1 year, with large teams and with multiple suppliers
  • Example(s) of bringing in projects ahead of time or ahead of budget
  • Example(s) of turning around a failing projects
  • Credibility and confidence at every level in the client organisation
  • Managed projects for a large well-recognised corporate organisations
  • Preferably experience of working in finance, pharma / life sciences, FMCG
  • Preferably experience of project managing for a consultancy or vendor
  • Ability to travel in the UK (our project managers work full time on client site)

    • n.b. We are not currently recruiting candidates with significant recent public sector experience.
